BS Toys: the Dutch brand on a mission to get kids off the screen and into the wild

BS Toys started life as BuitenSpeel - Dutch for "outdoor play" - founded in Haarlem in 2006 by Marcel Schagen. The first toy was a giant tower. The mission has barely changed since: get children playing without a screen in sight.

The games are original, often oversized, and a little different from the usual outdoor range. A ten-metre tug-of-war rope. Cards too big to bluff. Ring toss, tin-can throwing, a wooden bow with apple targets. Plenty of it in FSC wood, all of it built to get a group moving and laughing.

Not anti-technology - just pro climbing, jumping, and working things out together. Play, move, learn.

Loud, active and gloriously analogue.
